Ospedaletti at the heart of a European inclusion project<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ospedaletti was the host of the 2026 edition of Let\u2019s Run Together<\/em>, an Erasmus+ KA2 European project dedicated to the social inclusion of young people through sport. The initiative, coordinated by the Sanremo Marathon Organising Committee<\/strong> in partnership with Cosmos Youth Izmir (Turkey)<\/strong>, involved Italian and Turkish students in an international educational pathway based on participation, wellbeing and active citizenship.<\/p>\n

Throughout the project, after the involvement in 2025 of the students from the \u201cPastonchi\u201d Comprehensive School of San Lorenzo al Mare<\/strong>, the 2026 edition featured students from the Sanremo Ponente Comprehensive School \u2013 \u201cE. De Amicis\u201d campus in Ospedaletti<\/strong>, together with students from the Turkish school \u0130zmir Bilimsev Koleji<\/strong>, strengthening the international dimension of the initiative.

An educational journey through sport, health and the environment<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s Run Together<\/em> was created with the aim of using the marathon as an educational tool to promote the social inclusion of young people, through a programme built on three key pillars: athletic training, nutrition education and mental coaching.<\/p>\n

During the school year, students took part in in-person training sessions and online learning activities, gradually preparing for the final race \u201cRun for the Whales\u201d<\/strong>. The training programme was designed and delivered by the coaches of A.S.D. Pro San Pietro, who supported the students throughout the entire journey.<\/p>\n

The pathway was enriched through the collaboration of Dr. Gianfranco Trapani<\/strong>, responsible for sessions dedicated to the health and wellbeing of young athletes, Dr. Stefano Beschi<\/strong>, who focused on nutrition education and healthy lifestyles, and the Delfini del Ponente association<\/strong>, which contributed with environmental education activities and awareness on marine protection.<\/p>\n

The experience enabled students to develop transversal skills, strengthen cooperation, and experience the educational value of sport by working towards shared goals and personal growth.

Let\u2019s Run Together \u2013 Ospedaletti, 22 May<\/strong><\/h3>\n

22 May 2026: the final celebration on the Ospedaletti cycle path<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 22 May 2026, the Ospedaletti cycle path hosted the final event of the project, turning into a space of sport and sharing. The non-competitive race involved pupils from the 4th and 5th grades of primary school and students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of lower secondary school, accompanied by teachers, coaches and professionals involved in the project.<\/p>\n

The event marked the conclusion of a two-year journey and was attended by Ospedaletti municipal councillors Antonella D\u2019Addazio and Giacomo De Vai, highlighting the educational and social value of the initiative. The day also served as an important dissemination opportunity, with the sharing of the methodology and educational materials with school leaders, teachers and stakeholders interested in replicating the experience in other educational contexts.<\/p>\n

Partners and collaborators of the project<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The final event and the entire Let\u2019s Run Together<\/em> pathway were made possible thanks to the collaboration between international partners, schools, local authorities and sports organisations that contributed to the implementation of the project activities.<\/p>\n
